Rock-a-Palooza 2006

Hello SP.com community!

I just wanted to start a kickoff thread about RAP 2006. I've been trying to get all sorts of loose ends tied up to pull this off and come hell or high water this is going to happen and it all goes down on Sept 10th.

It's being billed as the RAP to end all RAPs, so you can read that however you want. I've been doing some major soul searching when it comes to the continuation and further development of SP.com - this is my child after all. And there will be some changes in the coming month that will take the remodel that started at the begining of the year to the next level. I'll cover all of that in an upcoming Bulletin (yes I'm still doing them, just a bit behind). ;)

Life gets complicated and mine just got a lot more complicated about an hour ago so I'm always re-arranging my plans it seems. But I wanted to let everyone know about RAP and where it stands for this year. Thanks to everyone who enjoys this event and the work that goes into it and also for everyone who looks forward to it every year - you are the reasons I do this.

That's not it at all, but is definetely in the plans for a "someday" thing. I'm destined to be the guy who has the child whose dad has MORE toys than they do.

Now excuse me as I go cry myself to sleep with my Billy Bob doll..... :lol

But that's okay, it's something that will all work out once everything is said and done. If all goes well, the portions of RAP that feature and introduce some of the 'scarcer' material will just end up on the website year round.

It just gets hard to keep up with a set 'schedule' of updating.
