Chicago Area Gathering

Calling all Chicago area RAE / CEC fans.

A couple of use are going to be in the area and would love to meet up with any of the locals that can come out!

December 27, 2006 (Late afternoon)Chicago's Odessy Fun World (Naperville location) and see the NEW Rock-afire Explosion in action.

December 28, 2006 (early afternoon) be heading over to Rockford to see the Nostalgic CEC with the OLD School :eek stage!

I hope to have a better idea of time in a week or so. If anyone thinks they can make it we'd love to have a little gathering.

Sounds fun Damon....

Ya'all be sure to shoot a lot of video during your visits, exspecially of the "old school" Stage in Rockland. This should definately be captured as Lord knows that Stage is probably slated to be replaced.

Man i would love to come...but it's a bad time of year for me to travel. I wish everyone that does go out a GREAT time!!

Well for anyone that can make it we intend on being at Odessy's Naperville location between 2 & 3 pm depending on traffic conditions.

If anyone shows up and is interested we will discuss the Rockford CEC while at Odessy.

Hopefully a few of you guys / gals can come over and we can all meet up!

Yikes, I thought damon posted that but I guess he didnt. Hes on the road as we speak, in AL matter a fact.. haha.. So basically what we decided was tomorrow we'll be at Odessy somewhere between 2 - 3pm EST.

What to bring? Anything you wanna show off HAHA.. Hopefully you have one of our cell numbers as well, or if you give us yours then we could call you when we get near there..

UPDATE:

Chimpy's was interesting. We saw several shows (after waiting an eternity for someone to turn the show on....) and all I can say is wow. I never want to hear another birthday song for a LONG TIME!!!

After some snacks and games the group made some changes in the schedule... It has turned into an all-night-event.

After Chimp's the rest of the group decided to drive to the CEC store in Rockford tonight. My schedule would not allow for me to go along, but hopefully there will be photos and video soon.

Yes still in Indy.. amazing time in both Chicago and Rockford. Pics and vids will be available once we get home first of the year.

Rockford is still rocking out on a CLASSIC PORCH! Chuck still in Classic Red Vest and DERBY! Pasqually even had teh CHUCK E LIVE Background! Amazing to see this in 2006!

Chicago's Naperville location... Although Danceatronics were not operational it was amazing to finally see a NEW Rae in action. Watching the rotating stages was an interesting treat for sure. And yes I agree no more Birthdays for a while hahaha... I still can't get over the expressions we got when we asked to see the control room hahaha PRICELESS!

Yeah WOW is all I can say. I had such a great time and it was great meeting you menutia!

I had never seen any older cec stuff before so this was a first for me and I was impressed. Worth the trip definately.

of course after several years of sitting on that swing Helen got a nice red mark on her tush, so she now stands up like she does on the other stages Jasper is still in his Rocker though. The Rocker stage in Simi Valley is the same way.

Oh shoot I'm sorry... I had already posted these on Mikes' Yahoo group and totally forgot about here! It was awesome to see this Classic Porch setup and even Chuck had his derby and vest! But Danny they were playing a Variety Show and NOT Christmas... When I get the videos posted I'm sure you can tell me what I was watching!

Rockford was playing the Variety Show? Unvelieveable! I'd love to see some footage of the Rocker Stage if you still have it. The YouTube links don't work. I presume the videos were removed. Anyway, if anybody could post these videos again, it'd be great. Thanks!
