Hey..I just quickly scanned a few topics and thought I would give you a little insight. The question I noticed was, "Why do people like the Tivo system if it is missing all the good shows?"

Well, the Tivo, admittedly is missing alot of great shows. But what's nice about the Tivo is that it can hold all the shows I have ever done and they can all be accessible and any show can be selected to run at any time. That random access and huge storage capability and terrific reliability is what gives it the edge over any other show storage mechanism. As far as not having all the good shows, well, that is just a matter of putting them on.

Why weren't they on in the first place? Well, some were. There are alot of great shows on there. And some of the shows the die hard fans don't like, are very well liked by the kids. But, I didn't actually choose the first shows that were loaded on the system. They were chosen by someone I had load her choices without concern over whether she left off some good ones, because I knew I could always come back and put more shows out later, and, hopefully, get paid for it. So, as soon as the customers who have the Tivo system agree with us that more shows should be on the system, and they are willing to pay me to put them on, I will do so. SO, it's not the Tivo control system to blame for not having your favorite old shows in the complete themed show formats. The Tivo system is totally upgradable. No matter what system you want to run your shows off of, the shows will have to be remastered to a certain extent and placed on the system, and that's what would need to be done.

Also, I might add, that although some of the shows on the Tivo system are not sung by our character voices, but are the original records, they are still very good shows. They are not offensive to me at all. It's just another "effect" seeing the characters lip sync a record. It becomes more of an artistic interpretation of a great performance rather than a reperformance of a great record. A couple of songs I really enjoy watching lip-synced by the characters is "Ace in the Hole" and "Still the One" and "Spiderwebs" and "The Train". The Train is a great dance song anyway where I get the kids up marching around the room making train noises and doing pushups. Everything has its purpose, and there is something good about everything..As they say, "It's all good".

(By the way, I wish more of you would sign your names to your posts. I can't figure out who is who from the handles and I don't keep a cross reference chart)
