If you had the money and you're own Rock-afire and you could pay to have Aaron and the rest of the band to record a new show or shows would you strictly want 80's music or stuff from today too? Personally, I'd like to hear new medleys that should've been done at SPP like Journey, Genesis maybe Kiss or The Eagles... :hat

I'd love to hear the RAE do some heavy metal of course, and some 90's songs. Maybe even Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega or some of the Carpenters lol. The Tropical Cleaners/RAE band were awesome, they all were very good with thier instruments and could do great covers about 99% of the time.

Yes I'd have Aaron and company create new shows. I'd concentrate from the 50's through 80's on songs.

An interesting thought, no doubt.:p

If I had the necessary assets for this everything would sure enough go my own way.

As I've stated elsewhere here, I can easily visualize the RAE performing many personal favorites in my own little mind. Let's face it, some of us have vivid imaginations! I, for one, love to dream things up!

I really like many of the artists that are mentioned in the other posts within the subject here. The RAE would definitely give splendid performances of tracks by the Kiss group. (Reminder: Kiss is at the top of my "favorites" list.)
Cuts by Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffett, Black Sabbath, T. Rex, Madonna, and Blondie would also be included in the repertorie. I have clear thoughts of the entity performing "Roundabout" and "Owner of a Lonely Heart", the two biggest tracks by progressive-rock outfit Yes. (Rick Wakeman was viewed by many rock fans as wizard with the keyboards.)

These shows would indeed bring ample satisfaction to rock fans everywhere.:smokin:

I would want a mix of both "yesterday's" and today's music. I can definitely picture the RAE singing some more modern songs.

I would have a mix. My partner in crime, Kyle, writes some pretty good music. I'd have different shows for different types of customers/private parties.

Haha, I'm glad this topic popped back up cause this is all I think about what if...gotta have a plan right don't wanna come into money and be a dumb ass without a plan.

I've seen this topic from the board's main page for a week and it didn't hit me until yesterday that I even started this topic, it was a while back so it slipped my mind....

I aways thought that Beach Bear should have done some Jimmy Buffet.
And Fatz as a Parrot Head!

I kind of want to see a "RAE Tribute To Broadway". They could have Mitzi singing to Fatz "Popular" from Wicked, and Billy Bob, Mitzi, and Dook or Beach Bear do "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" from Avenue Q, replacing the f-word with "date"(Yeah, I know that probably wouldn't fly, but I can see Aaron, Shalisa, and Duke or Rick nailing that one perfectly)

I hadn't noticed that post before. Thank you, Arica!

I like Rock-Afire best when they do original material, so I'd probably use said fictional money to encourage that.

That said, I'd love to hear Rock-Afire do some They Might Be Giants stuff. Whistling in the Dark would sound neat coming out of Fatz's voice. :bb_happy2:

Oh man, if I had the money, and I mean a LOT of money, I would...

1. Call Aaron Fechter and pay him enough $$$ to mass produce about 500 new RAE's.

2. Purchase about 500 vacant lots or buildings around the country

AND BRING SPP BACK TO LIFE!!! Oh, if only...

Songs are a nice focus, but what I'd do is encourage more banter! Especially jokes that remind the viewers that they're animals (I'm a sucker for stuff like that). I can just see this little exchange:

Fatz: I think this setting on the Tune Machine might be broken.
Billy Bob: W'll, howso?
Fatz: Lookee here, watch this. (presses a button)
Dook and Rolfe: (HOOOOOOWL)
Mitzi: Owieowieowieowieowie!
Beach Bear: (laughing) That's the dog whistle setting!
Fatz: Woah, oopsie. (stops)
Dook: What'd you do that for?! That hurt, man!
Rolfe: (simultaneously) OW! My tender little ears!

I'd also put some funding into improving the old mechs. None of the mijjin Dance-a-tronic, "I look like those cheap Swingin' Hip Santas You Buy at the Walgreens at the Last Minute" kinda things. They'd still be 6 feet tall and hold instruments, but they'd have better articulation... and maybe facial expressions. That'd be cool. And Mizti and Dook wouldn't have smiles up to their eyeballs, those are creepy.
