This week VH-1 airs the I Love the 1970's Volume 2 miniseries, will it feature in either 1977, 1978, or 1979 the early years of Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre launched in 1977 in San Jose, California by the original powers that be - Nolan Bushnell?

Sorry, no Chuck E. Cheese's in 1978 or 1979 of VH-1 I Love the 1970's Volume 2 set. Let's hope these I Love the 1980's set 4 or I Love the 1990's set 3 or I Love the 1970's Volume 3 in the future for something on Chuck E. Cheese's! :rolleyes

I doubt anyone besides us really knows or cares about the early years. It just isn't mainstream enough. People may remember it from the 80s but I doubt its really big enough then to get mentioned. If any restaurant were to ever get mention it would probably be McDonald's but I dont think restaurants are really "pop culture" enough to fit into anything like that.

The closest they came to a CEC product was in the I Love Toys series when they talked about stickers.

Well, in the 1979 VH-1 I Love the 1970's Volume 2 episode McDonald's Happy Meals were featured!

Even the 1970's word FOXY (no relation to CECPTT's Foxy Colleen Flannigan) was used again many times!
