Anyone remember the show where Fatz advertises his joke line? I always wondered if it was real or if the joke was that there wasn't really anything when you called that number. Anyone know?

I remember hearing that in the archive back awhile ago. The joke was that back then phones didn't have Z, so you couldn't even call the number!:lol

Yeah that joke is out of date now. Phones also did not originally have the letter "Q" either. Since so many businesses use their numbers to spell things out (example: 1-800-GO-TIGER). Most modern phones have a "Q" and a "Z" on the number pads.

although theres still not really a standard. some phones use the "1" button for Q and Z, other phones put them in alphabetical order resulting in 4 letters on two of the buttons, and some still dont even list them. if i were buying a vanity number, i would still stay away from Q and Z.

Yeah, not all phones have "Q" or "Z", so of course "1-800-362-FATZ" wouldn't be possible.
