Whose pizza do you think is/was the best? PTT, Showbiz, or CEC?

I've never had any other than Showbiz, nor do I know how many times they've changed thier recipe. I do know that I do not like the current CEC like I did the old showbiz. Maybe I was younger and more taste guillable but... haha..
Heres a good question, anyone have the old showbiz recipe????!

I have always preferred Showbiz to Chuck E. Cheese's pizza. I can't remember the Pizza at the PTT restaurants since I didn't go there often, or at least I don't remember if I did.

Back in the day Showbiz treated there food as if it were "gourmet" and as such they prepared it with much more care then today's pizza places do.
That being said, i had Showbiz pizza on more then one occasion and i never really took to it. Keep in mind i was about 10/11 at the time and did'nt care much for "fancy food" that most adults liked. This may be why i did'nt take to it. If i were to taste early 80's SB pizza today i may well have liked it a lot. I think my Mom enjoyed the Showbiz pizza...can't be certain though.
PTT pizza though was a different story. To this day i remember the unique taste. It was not only the dough and how it was prepared/aged...it was the heavy use of sweet seasonings and dare i say heavy use of sugar in the sauce recipe. The cheese was also very cheesey and very yummy. It had a LOT of appeal with me and for the longest time was the best pizza i ever had. In the mid 80's the flavour changed ( no doubt the product was cheapened to keep costs low and profits up) and evntually it became tasteless mush in most stores. Now it's no surprise to me when i equate it with cheap frozen pizza you can buy at any grocery store. It's that bad now. It's a shame, as CEC used to have some great tasting pizza. They will never recapture the delicious PTT flavour though: sweet sauce with very real cheesey tasting cheese on a crisp crust. Yum!

i like the current pizza :P
the other day i had huntington beach put parmesan cheese around the crust (like breadsticks basically). and i asked for extra pizza sauce to dip the crust in. it was sooo good.
today i had big torrance put some cheese topping around the edge of the dough and then roll it inwards (basically like "stuffed crust pizza"). i also used pizza sauce to dip this crust in. it was also very very good.
thanks to both locations for fulfilling my odd requests. lol

well seeing i went to showbiz 1 time cec's pizza hands down! regarding the birthday cakes. i loved the cakes they had from the 1990 era that icing was the best! todays cakes are dry! another note when the mgr's run out of supplies they have cm's run to meijer to get sauce, flour peperidge farm cakes etc... this one location name to be kept private. they actually called mcclaine for a back up order! instead of going to meijer!!
