umm..ok...but no.
can we setup a "shameless plugs" board, or force this kind of thing to the "for sale" section?
Thanks...

My word, the offery of a full color brochure makes the appetizingness of partaking of this franchisism most delectable! Some would suggestify that details merely be distributed in this public forum, for without attemption to make any allegatiary remarks, the idea here is some sort of schemery involving gathersome tactics to elicit postal addresses of persons willing to become restaurantarians, resultilizing in the assemblery of a mailing list to be sold as part of a part-time endeavor.
It is unprecedented business tactic to assume that savvy entrepreneurs have nothing better to do than visit a message board. Rolling a 7 can pay 5 to 1, and it's the most likely number... that is where the money gets made!
Somebody show me a post with more words that don't exist in a single sentence, I ask you.

We would respond better if we were presented with some credibility. Anyone can talk something up. Show us some action.

Puromax,
Please don't take this the wrong way. You have been here for at least a little while. But you seem to go way overboard here on supporting Mr. D's endevor. This leads us to believe one or more of the following things:
1) You are a friend of Davy D that is just here soley to try to hype this thing up.
2) Mr. D is paying you to propagandize this whole thing as his "praise giver".
3) You are Mr. D under another name.
I'm not critizing your support of this whole Billy Bob's cafe thing. If you are really that excited more power to you, but your blatant attempt of going way overboard on the enthusiasum really calls into question your credibility. Again, the real litmus test here 1) Do any of these so-called restaurants actually open and if they do... 2) Will they survive the long term. Fun Time Pizza, Looney Birds and Chimpy's all materialized, showed great promise and now all now have "This Space for Lease" signs in the window.
I recall big promises and dreams about a year ago on here about another such restaurant known as "King George's Pizza" that was supposedly going to open 560851075810431805893247 and run CEC out of business. I am still awaiting the grand opening of the first location which supposedly will take place in 2006 or 07 somewhere in Atlanta Georgia. I don't think we really ever got past talking about what color Thunder Pig's cape was going to be. In fact, I think I was promised to be regional manager of an entire district...or something. :rolleyes
PS- I'm still interested in hearing from some of the 20 people that purchased a DVD. Can anyone out there verify that they purchased one?
PPS- Anyone with a color copier can make a colored brocure just like they can make their very own Fanzine. I did enjoy what few issues I got, but they were pretty amature in design. By the way, I've read your response to the brochure several times now and I still have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
PPPS- I hope the brochure doesn't resemble the fanzine. If so, you are pretty much screwed.
PPPPS- The fanzine only lasted 6 issues (or maybe less I forget). If a project that simple fell apart then... well you can figure the rest out from here.

Ok, ya got me (tears off face to reveal... a terrible bloody mess)
It appears that in order for a point to be made, all subtlety must be lost. I am in no official way a supporter of DavyD's "project", and my sarcasm thus far has been so cleverly disguised that you've all mistaken it for a profound ignorance.
The hints I've made are plentiful, yet small. Look back into this and the other thread, and see the truth. I compared investing in Rock-afire cafe to making a straight bet on roulette, highly improbable payoff
I've commented on "Restaurant News" "publishing" "Such a biased review".
I stated that my working in a toy store makes me just as qualified to run this business as our friend's work as a Disneyland cast member.
I've even stated that savvy entrepreneurs have nothing better to do than visit a message board.
The whole "I can't wait to see this business plan" angle is true, because wouldn't you just love to see what a concept so far fetched and overblown actually looks like on paper? It doesn't exist on paper, just a message board it seems.
My only intention was to make light of the ridiculousness at hand.
I would never go into business partnership with someone whose career title start with "I work at..."

Just throught I'd warn you guys, that I don't think that was the real Billy Bob posting.. I know for a fact that Billy Bob only uses his myspace account for mail... I think whoever is trying to get people to email him is a fake :o
Also, I have never heard Mitzi say "sup y'all"... I talk to her almost every day and she always greets people with the more classical greeting "how's my bi**ches"
I hope noone here is getting confused by these perpetrators of trave-sham-ockery...
P.S. If Uncle Klunk posts here next, it's probably not the real him, either... He's in jail...

Few questions before I give out my email:
1) How much money have you raised for your business venture?
2) What are your projected start-up costs per location?
3) Is your company publicly traded?
4) What specific site are you looking at for your initial restaurant?
Just reply back with some quick, easily accessible data that you should have collected. I will then give you my e-mail address.

When Davy asks us to submit our ideas for a company logo, it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Not that I'm planning on it, but if I wanted to open a restaurant with the Rock-Afire I would buy my show directly from CEI.

yes, davyd. why would someone open your franchise instead of just buying a rae straight from cei for only $12000 on ebay? could you or billy bob or mitzi explain some of the advantages of opening your cafe? could you post a link to your business plan or brochure? surely a reputable company such as yours has these files online. most likely even in a pdf format, huh? i would appreciate those links. and since im already buying a stage, maybe i could just use it towards a cafe! let me know the info! thanks!
(ps: puromax, ...i knew all along! :D ych is one smart cookie. lol )

Well, on this whole subject. I just sort of sit back and wait for some proof. Davy D. hasn't got much of a way (as of yet) of proving he's really doing this concept. Sure, he's talked about it, who doesn't? The fact is.. and this is a fact.....
If somebody succeeded in making a successful RAE chain, they would have to buy ALL rights to the Rock-afire + all of the patents to CEI's electronimation. They would then either have another company follow the plans and build the shows, or they would form a company to do it. All of those thing would hav eto be purchased, otherwise you can expect to wind up in the same pickle Showbiz did in the late 80's when Aaron Fechter gave them trouble.... that is even if you got as far as Showbiz did. As you've noticed, most stores that have the Rock-afire now have a lack of maintainence and care for the show. They also have a lack of a proffesional looking decor. You need designors and decorators who work on restaurant concepts to come up with good layouts for you restaurant. You can't just throw it together and expect it to be good ( Rock-afire Pizza for example). Lack of maintainence is due to people not being trained properly seeing as how Aaron Fechter probably doesn't know as much about the show as some of you people. If you REALLY wanted to know about how to keep the show in top condition, you would need to ask one of the Engineers who actually helped to design the RAE.. or just ask Snap. Snap is right about Aaron. I know, I've dealt with him before and actually caught him in several lies. That's why I no longer communicate with him. Anyway... bottom line.. if you have a successful RAE chain, you need to own the rights to the RAE and the patents to the technology. Davy D. seems like all talk so far. I don't mean to sound rude... no pun intended. I talked big for a while too, but I took a huge doce of reality. Davy D. really shouldn't talk right now. He should keep it all quiet. CEC does keep tabs on people planning to compete with them. The Corperate World is a "dog-eat-dog" World. They have corperate spies just the same as other corperations have spies. They probably read this message board all of the time. You notice how CEC eventually finds a way to buy out their compeditors. It is a multi-million dollar monopoly you know. Like any other top corperation, they'll stop at nothing to keep their dominance. Besides, they're not worried about the RAE coming back anyway, because of the person the RAE belongs to. As long as he owns the RAE, it'll get nowhere. He just got lucky back in the late 70's and early 80's and suckered a bunch of people into designing those wonderful animatronics and then took all of the credit for it. The man doesn't even have an Engineering degree nat all... you have noticed that haven't you? He has a degree in business I think. Anyway... Davy D. seems like a lot of talk and no action. I don't imagine CEC is too afraid of him either. Now, if Donald Trump said he was going to open a chain of Rock-afire Restaurants, ofr if Disney said they were going to, or something like that, then CEC would have good reason to shake in their boots. If Davy D. is the genuine article... #1. He will give his real name eventually. #2. He WILL have brochures #3. He'll have investors.... and the list goes on.

I noticed the hype died off here. What happened? Any updates? Aaron had 2 more RAE shows for sale and offered the same deal that Veganova got on his show. So given the really low price & free licensing and all I figured we'd be hearing news of a grand opening soon. What's going on?

Although I do wonder how many usable shows are left. Sounds like most of what is left have been pretty well pilfered. I also wonder if Mr. D was one of the buyers. Aaron said on another board awhile ago he had another buyer he was waiting on to get him a deposite. Maybe Mr. D will pop up and give us an update. I am thinking tho there are no updates however because I'm sure we would have heard about it.
