Did anybody go to breakfast at Showbiz Pizza? I did a few times. it was okay. Kind of weird eating french toast and watching the Roack-afire Explosion sing songs.

There was a breakfast program at Showbiz??
I thought that was something that came along later with the CEC Breakfast Treats program in 2000?

The breakfast thing was there in the late 80s I believe, around 86 or 87.

Yes it was in 1987 and was only aval. to high volume locations that were booked up on Sat and Sun...so they had the 9AM Bday breakfast. Usually only about 3 parties were booked as that's all that wanted the early slot. the menu consisted of 2 eggo style waffles, 2 sausage links, milk or OJ and later the cake--the cakes were 8" rounds that were cut into 10 slices so if you had 11 children at the party you would get 2 cakes. You placed the breakfast items in the oven in the same place you would place the hot dogs. In Houston the only stores that offered this was FM 1960 and Memorial out of the six stores (Pasadina, Inwood, Weslayan and the now closed W Belfort)

Thanks for the info Trey. I had no idea Showbiz had a program like this...but now i know why.
Sounds really strange ...who would want to celebrate there Birthday at 9am?? Bring on the pizza and cake and save the breakfast goodies!

I think I remember this. The one in Grand Rapids, MI (28th St. to be exact - now still a CEC) did this, because I remember going there in the morning one time with some friends for an "early" birthday party (as I remember....this was about 150 years ago). It was weird. I wanted pizza more - but it was kind of like going to A&W and getting eggs and toast instead of a chili dog or burger! LOL
