1. Dallas-Montford Rd
2.The 20th Anniversary show I beleive
3. Yes only 1 was made
4. Less than a year I think.
5. it ran off of LaserDiscand the bot was controlled using an old CEC 3 stage MAC valve
6. this was to expensive so they went w/ Studio C.

I think they're both crap...too bad they didn't scrap the latter show too!:rolleyes I don't get how one character can be better than 5 or more, no matter how many lighting effects they added.

Ah yes my dear friend, I can answer that for you! It's a little something I would like to call: NEWER TECHNOLOGY!:lol Everytime I go to a Studio C, I walk in and all I see is one bot, (big deal), but whats so special about this one bot is that almost 100% of the year, it is COMPLETELY working. Every 1,2,3,road stage(s) I go to, I sit there and LAUGH MY A$$ off, because either a Tech is trying to figure out how to either turn it on, or attempt to fix something, but quits 3 minutes later. I also laugh my a$$ off at those stages, because, I love to watch those old bots only use three movements: eye blink, mouth, and swrivel left and right!:rollin

Man, thats only one reason I prefer Studio C over existing....I can go on and on about why (in my prefrence) studio c is twenty times more better.
1. A 32/16 movement bot compared to a old fashion hunk over mental that barely moves.
2. Studio C Bots, look 1000 times better than existing stage Chuck Bots, for this reason, it looks exactly like CEC does today, existing stage bots don't even look close. Plus (back in the days when we had curtains) the whole idea was *pretend* that Chuck jumped off his stage, and into the guests arms, but in existing stage stores, what happened? Did the Chuck bot just suddenly morphed into a newer looking Chuck? Or was it my imagination??? (What im trying to say there, is that the existing stage bot looks nothing like the walkaround, but studio c bots do!)
3. GABE!!! DUDE!!! LIGHTS!!!! LIGHTS MAKE A HUGE IMPACT ON SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!! LIGHTS MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND!! (:lol not really, but for me, it does) Lights set the mood and tone of the area, if it wasn't so bright in the stores, man Studio C would almost look profesional!!!!!! As for existing stages, (once again, technology takes its toll) a helicopter light, some spot lights, and some Cheap Colorful Garden lights as color spots, don't think so, plus, if your not careful with those sort of lights, those can catch fire easily.
4. Sound! (Now i'm not a BIG sound guy) but boy can I tell a difference! Man, Studio C has a HUGE sound difference then existing stages. And can barely stand hearing all this static in the sound of the show, it ocasionally starts to hurt my ears...>: Studio C: Crystal Clear sound, music to my ears.
5. Interaction! Kids are now attracted to the stage because of the Interactive Counsel and the Blue Screen, so many kids are obsessed with those! Existing Stage: Nothing but barely working bots.....
Gabe and fellow lovers of the existing stage, if these explainations weren't enought to prove that studio c is a better stage, I'll be glad to list more reasons for you....just type a post;)

Now Now Now Jeff, not every existing stage looks like crap, come over to MA where we got existing stages in top condition. Or go to Nevin's 3-stage store, which is almost perfect. There are still stages out there with all the characters that look great...well, maybe it could be because I go to my local store so much, they just keep the stage in top condition so I won't complain...or maybe I'm wrong?8o

Yeah It really does depend on location..I've seen crappy Studio C's too, sure he worked ok but his hand was missing and his foot was all torn. It's hard to see it from you're point cause you weren't into it or working around a working 1, 2 or 3 stage, but if you've had the pleasure of seen a working one like home office's...it blows Studio C outta the water. :rolleyes

but whats so special about this one bot is that almost 100% of the year

you must be going to the cece studio c...? cuz the studio c's around here have just as many problems, if not more!!!

A 32/16 movement bot compared to a old fashion hunk over mental that barely moves.

new studio c's have the same 8 movements. and just because a bot is "capable" of 32 movements, doesnt mean it even comes close. take lakewood, ca for example. studio c alpha. chuck's mouth barely moves. his foot doesnt tap. his eyebrows dont work. his ears dont move. his right arm only goes up and down. his left arm only goes left and right. and his head is stuck tilted. doesnt sound much better than mmbb.

Did the Chuck bot just suddenly morphed into a newer looking Chuck

studio c bot does not look more like chuck. looks more like mickey mouse. the other day i was at cec and i had to give it a double take cuz i actually thought i saw mickey for a moment. plus kids always call him mickey!

Studio C would almost look profesional

you mean the ones with rope lights on the ceilings that dont get replaced anymore? (alpha)
or the ones with only 3 racks that just have orange, blue, green... ...still just basic lights. helecopters at least move around the room. studio c's here only get 1 gobo light now and its just always pointed at chuck. i dont see how it goes to the music. it just randomly comes on and randomly changes pattern. professional lights would include some *real* audience scanners. and ive never seen a professional show without a fog machine. (lol... that would be funny! but inappropriate ill admit)

and u wanna talk lighting??? then tell me why studio c cant get something as simple as a SPOT LIGHT right! Chucks head is always turning or tilting out of the spotlight. or his face is only partially in the light.

Studio C has a HUGE sound difference

yeah, the HUGE difference is in the volume level. mmbb uses it, studio c doesnt. studio c's around here keep the volume around 40%. you cant even tell the difference between when there is or isnt a show on. unlike mmbb where the whole stage comes to life and the sound is actually doing this thing called being 'ON'.

Kids are now attracted to the stage because of the Interactive Counsel and the Blue Screen

the interactive console is only in alpha locations and no longer gets installed. yeah, kids think its cool and play with it... ...for a whole 2 minutes! then they get bored and go away.

blue screen? yeah, thats exactly what i want to watch! 2/3rds of the screen showing some freakin brat up close sticking his tounge out while im trying to watch the show. uhh... kids... move ur @$$3$ out the way! im trying to watch the damn show!

Existing Stage: Nothing but barely working

the studio c's around here are just as bad. and the interactive console is always getting broken by the brats just like anything else. the blue screen you mention works even less of the time. most studio c's ive been to have problems with the blue screens. either some lights went out so now you have random blue areas blocking the tv footage, or the blue screen causes the hue to be wrong on all the chroma key screens, or the camera makes the kids' faces turn white when they get close and you either see bright white or sometimes u see thru their faces, or the video is not working at all behind the chroma key video and you only see the kids standing in front of blue on the tvs, or a million other things that i have seen.

bottom line... a huge portion of it depends on your local store. it sounds like your cec might be doing a great job keeping it up, while ur local mmbbs arent doing the same. here, i would say its equally as bad. the studio c's have just as much wrong as the mmbbs. but when u only have 1 bot and it doesnt work, theres pretty much no show. so im happy for you that you actually somehow enjoy studio c. but just cuz your 1 studio c is well kept and is lucky enough to be an alpha, dont think theyre all like that and completely join the studio c bandwagon.

See?... All about where you live ;) Plus when a store get's like $30-$40 for a show budget...sad.

We have an Alpha here in WI, (brookfield location) and it is in remarkable condition....the bot that is...

I have to agree with jeff on the fact that it looks better.
MMBB looks terrible, in my opinion, especially the three stage setup. its empty, tons of bland, empty space on stage.

At least studio C is nice to look at. I like how the Chuck section is very "active" (when working right) and there is a lot to see.

I would rather have all 5 up there, but he's right. they dont train techs enough to take care of them properly, or else the techs just don't care. One half-way working bot looks better than 5 somewhat-working bots.

sure we all have nostalgia for what was, but the reason that the RAE looked so great, is the costumes were detailed, the stage was very attratctive, and has a lot going on, to keep you entertained.

Now for the dreaded blue screen.....BAD BAD BAD
It looks great and is a good idea for maybe a month. then the camera or blue screen gets damaged and we see permanant blue streaks on the screens, not to mention watching shows is pointless with a bunch of kids fighting over who can ham up the camera the most.

I would like to see a return to the balcony stage, or something along those lines. the problem is there isnt enough with the MMBB to keep people entertained. no warblettes, no clappers, no flags, nothing. just 5 bots that in a good majority of stores halfway work.

ah well.

I worked at the Montfort location the whole time they had the Awesome Adventure Machine. I will tell you this, it was WAY better than Studio C. If I had to choose, it would be the AAM all the way. I didn't mind that show away from the 3 stage that we had before.
It was cool to watch and the sound was incredible. But yes, it was too expensive, so they came out with Studio C.
AAM was amazing!
