ON THE CEC 3 STAGE WHAT IS THE WORST PART TO FIX?

I imagine the valves are cause they're under the stage where it's pitch black, though they can use a light it's still usually really nasty under there from several years of neglect. :rolleyes Even trying to replace the cylinders can be time consuming and difficult when you have a GM breathing down your neck to work on games...

The valves are easy because they are easy to get to. It's the "arm-twist" cylinders that are hard to get to (Chuck/Helen) because the screw heads on top of the pancake cylinder are blocked by the shoulder.
Next are "Arm Raise" for Chuck/Helen/Jasper because they are inside their fiberglass shell - not difficult, just time consuming.
I'll let someone else comment on Body Lean cylinder :-)

I'VE NEVER WORKED ON A 3STAGE BUT I MUST SAY THE SPOT LIGHTS MUST BE HARD TO REPAIR. LOL!:lol BACK ON TOPIC I'VE HEARD TECHS ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT AIR LEAKS IN HELEN ALL THE TIME. I ALSO HEARD THAT JASPER CLUNKS AROUND LIKE A BAG OF BOLTS. I SHOULD HAVE USED MY PHONE TO RECORD THE NOISES.

Woot! I can post!
I hate the cylinders in the heads; there's just no room!
I'll also second body lean as extremely difficult.

I have a question...in the 90s, before Studio C, if a store had a REALLY bad 3-stage, could it be replaced with a 1 or 2 stage MMBB?

Nah, they didn't start that crap until Studio C came along..remember the focus slowly started drifting away from the show around the time Studio C came along in '98. When a show was bad it would be repaired...sigh I miss those days. :rolleyes
