Do you think cec should waste money on the exsisting stages or do you think they should junk them and put studio c's in. my 2 cents are there wasting money on them for what when they are over 25 years old and need a ton of work. when they can have studio c and have less problems...

From what I understand, Studio C has not solved any problems as many of them have gotten pretty bad fast and I have heard a lot of movements on many of them are out. Age is not really a factor. Since CEC has parts continuing to replace things on them is not that big a deal but that just is not a priority. The reason the shows are in bad shape is many stores have failed to maintain them and waited til they were about to fall apart before they have done anything about it.

Yes, they should "waste money" on existing stages...I've said it before and I'll ***** about it again...for my money when I go there to eat, it's to see a show with animatronics not a freakin' light show...and I have seen Studio C's out in the field just as crappy if not worse than some existing stages...you got one 'bot broken on that stage all you have is a light show...yawn!

my definitions of the CEC Shows:
Exsisting Stages: A thing of beauty
Studio C (Alpha) the most amazing 1-bot show i've ever seen
Studio C (Beta/Cappa) Uh you call that a Show?

Although the Alpha bot is the most advanced character that CEC has had, it's still not the best single-character show out there.. think Disney:b
I agree with Gabe, though- Studio C gets old..fast. It may be alright for today's kids, because they have nothing to compare to. I still like Studio C (Alpha)- it has some nice features, but I still wouldn't consider it a good replacement.
Guests either my age or older would always ask something to the effect of "What happened to the band? I remember they all used to be up there." Then, I would give a little history lesson to whose who were interested:lol The sad part is, I'm not joking.:b

Then, I would give a little history lesson to whose who were interested The sad part is, I'm not joking. :lol Same here man, the sad part is more often it was the little people on the totum at CEC(showroom, gameroom) who were interested...managers and most techs couldn't care less. :(

I'm sorry to disagree with you cec080. But our home three stage cec show is not crappy looking at all in cloths, cosmetics, or movement wise.:D and definatily nothing that couldn't possibly be fixed. I could probably help out with sewing up a little hole on helen's skirt. and i could easily sew up a small hole on munch's bottom left arm fur. I'll ask the next to i'm over there. I have been taking pride in those stages. even though I don't work there. I do little odds and ends. for instances i had gotten all the characters brushed up. i had refixed helen's sneakers. damn kids are always messing around with helen's sneakers. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Same goes for skirt. i had retied pasqually's black sneaker laces. I think i better double knot them. like what i did with helen's white sneaker laces.:D I got the back of those stages looking alot cleaner looking. there's no paper napkins back there. or ticket bags showing. after birthday parties end. very few occaisions that helen's left hand is bended out of shape. I always check on excese fur on chucks shirt. cause when brushing him. his grey fur gets caught either on his back or front of his shirt. Munch's purple fur has a habbit of getting caught on his yellow tummy lol. Yes that's my pride and joy! MUNCH'S MAKE BELIEVE BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rollin I even dust pasqually's drum set, munch's keep board organ, chuck's top part of the monitor that lights up. plus the the wood top which it sets on. plus the dust behind chuck's gold star, and the stand up building props on center stage. And also the lights. And light fixers. plus the too monitor that hang above the stages I dust those screens. plus the screens which are located in the game room.:D

I love that look also.:D And what is the Irving TX Stage zipe code and address? I and My grandmother Ruth would need to know that.

Michael, this is just a question more of curiosity than anything else and I'm mainly looking to see what you think from your perspective. Originally as you know Concept unification was done to really take the many variations of the show and make them more similiar by making everything into the "Munch Make Believe Band". Studio C kind of undid the whole thinking there because you now have to program a totally seperate show again in addition to the MMBB. Nevin's store I think is an extreme exception that it is in good shape. Most shows sadly are just worn out and not maintained. One thought I have had for a long time is just phasing out the other 4 characters (at least robotically) and instead of just installing a studio C in any store with a 1, 2 or 3 stage, why not just use the CEC bot only out of those shows? You would still have to program the cyberamic and 3 stage CEC using the 3 stage but you'd only have one bot to do and then Studio C. Obviously that would be a huge time saver and also it would once again make the shows more uniform across the system. I was curious as to what your personal thoughts were on that. Now I will say after saying this I do not care for Studio C and CEC is really not the place it was 20 years ago but I have the attitude lets just face the inevitable and get it over with. The MMBB/Pizza Time Players have had a good run and maybe its time the company just "screw it up right" and just use Chuck only in the shows. What are your thoughts?

Thank you cec080. In question to your answer about me applying at my CEC home store. I have tried too apply for a job position and they have all there job positioned takend for the general keep up of the cleaning, sweeping the floor, taking care of garbage, and bathrooms. busing the tables, checking the napkins, and salt, pepper shakers. I think of what I'm doing as my side job.:D even though i don't literaly work over there.:\

Well to me concept unification was kind of a sad day cause I didnt wanna see the Rockafire go. Studio C would have been ok if they would have kept putting out the Alpha versions, now they're pretty much watered down to nothing. I would a take a 3 stage over studio C any day. Now the one bot idea with the 1,2 or 3 stages they wouldnt go for cause the whole reason for studio c was for the updated look and the day will come when all the locations will have studio C and that will be the uniform look. I miss the old pizza time days along with the showbiz days not to mention I miss the curtians but who knows maybe that's their idea of going back to the pizza time days.:\

I have to agree with you guys. the CU Days where kind of a sad day for me also. But I eventually got over it even though I still miss the old showbiz pizza place days. kind of. But the ChuckECheese,PTT,Munch's Make Believe Band Days I really enjoy. more so then the showbiz-rae days. I feel I'm more of a fan of that. then the RAE/showbiz pizza place things. which is true. And CEC holds more of a sentimental value to me.

I think we all have loyalties one way or another more or less because of where we grew up going to. I know, for me , we didn't have Showbiz around ther Milwaukee area, so I grew up being loyal to PTT/CEC.
When I got a job at CEC 4 1/2 years ago, I thought it would be a quick fun get-me-through-college job. Now, I'm a manager, and plan on staying with the company.
There are some of us out there that still give a crap and do our best to keep things looking and running great. I was very adamant about keeping our 1-stage looking awesome, even up to the day of it's demise, when they tore down our old store. Anytime I noticed something wrong with it, I'd get the tech, and the 2 of us would do what we could to keep it working and looking great! It's so sad that we had the best looking Munch Band in Central Florida, and yet we lost it.
About a year has gone by since it's demise, and though we now have crappy Studio C beta, I still take pride in keeping that show 100%. If more people cared, I think the lives of the existing stages would be greatly expanded.
I hope I don't EVER see the day where ALL CEC's only have Studio C.
Then again, there are those Franchises that are still kicking, and the few gems that still have Rocker stages. So who knows? It may take 20 years to get rid of ALL of the Munch Bands.

Ditto! I hated the fact that they were closing a 2-stage store with such history and even cool things at the time too...just to move up the highway 5 miles. :rolleyes Ghetto or not I loved the Walzem Rd. store :\

Well our old store was only 13 years old! And sadly we were the ONLY store in the entire state of Florida (out of 25 stores) that had a MMBB 1-stage. The store wasn't the greatest, but it was bigger and had a special feel to it that our current store doesn't have. These newer stores seem like cookie-cutter mass produced junk. I hate our new store compared to the old one.
